The Array-Pivot Grotto
For a thousand years the great ward-array of this grotto has lain broken, and from its pivot an Array-Core has congealed to hold command, four formation-eyes taking turns to sustain its all-but-deathless frame. What it drops is never a single killing blow, but several array-lines counting down at once — before the array falters, your footing does.

The Array-Core does not kill with one heavy fist, but presses down many array-lines at once to trap your footing: the Warp-line falls first, the Weft-line follows close, the two counting down on the same screen, and the Pivot-Fall stacks a third — the one clear cell is where the geometries cross, shifting frame by frame. A stolen beat of its tempo offsets the stacked pair by half a count; dragging its body shifts where its lines originate. Its four formation-eyes clad it in carapace, and the brighter they burn the denser the gnawing rain that grinds the whole party — leave the eyes lit and the Core is near unharmable. It bites the nearest, slams the most wounded, re-pivots by charging the farthest — how twelve stay alive amid the tangled lines, snuff the eyes, then race the kill, rests in many hands' wit. Drops three theme-agnostic Mythic pieces.

Ward · Breach a guardian boss keeps a standing ward that shaves ~35% off incoming damage; each telegraph that lands briefly breaches it (the gap shorter under enrage), and for that beat your hits aren’t softened.
The array knows no man, only the Pivot. Unlike the spider mother who grinds you with hordes of weak spawn, it stands on a few durable eyes as pillars and presses you with stacked array-lines, footwork judged frame by frame: the Warp falls, the Weft follows, the Fall stacks a third, and only where the four geometries cross is there life; one who steals a beat of its tempo pries the stack apart, one who drags its body re-sets where its lines originate. Bled low the array-lines tangle, lower still the pivot collapses into one tempo and the lines press into a killing storm. How twelve snuff every eye amid the tangle, then race to fell the pivot before the frenzy, is theirs to work out.
A frontal fan-strike, instant with no telegraph, biting the nearest. In the gap after an array-line lands it is the only move it can make — and for that gap it strikes only in melee, its guard shed.
Hatches formation-eyes (durable summons, scattered near the party). Each living eye lays a layer of carapace on the Core and holds a ring of gnawing aura — the more eyes, the thicker its mitigation and the denser the rain of damage on the whole party.
Lays a full-length array-line down the axis toward its target (line telegraph). Highest-priority of the array-lines — it always falls first.
A cross of array-lines centred on the Core (cross telegraph). The Warp falls first and the Weft close behind, so the two array-lines count down on the same screen — the safe cell is where their geometries cross, and a Pivot-Fall stacks a third.
Slams down beneath the most wounded (circle telegraph), a hit slowing and bleeding — often stacking as the third countdown beside the two array-lines.
Charges down a long line at the farthest (line telegraph), reaching the line's end as the wind-up closes. Where it lands becomes the Core's new pivot — cross and ring attacks thereafter radiate from there.
(Array Frayed) A ring-surge around the Core (ring telegraph), a hit knocking back, slowing, and bleeding — the fourth pressure that stacks in once the array frays.
(Pivot Collapse) A faster, heavier slam (circle telegraph) that bleeds. With every array-line already quickened, the twin-fall stacks in to make the fight's densest, most lethal storm of overlap.
